Privacy Policy.

Resonant Worlds is a game from Ruptured Studios. We respect your privacy and keep this short and plain. It covers what we collect on this site, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Resonant Worlds is published by Ruptured Studios, Inc. (Kansas City, Missouri), referred to here as “Ruptured Studios,” “we,” or “us.” Questions about this policy can go to legal@rupturedstudios.com.

What we collect

  • Contact details you give us: your email address, and anything you choose to include in a message.
  • Newsletter opt-in: if you ask to be kept posted, we record that request.
  • Voting: when you vote in a poll on the site, we store the vote and a simple marker (a cookie or similar) on your device to limit double-voting. Votes are anonymous — we don’t tie them to your name or email.
  • Basic server logs. Like any website, our host (GoDaddy) automatically records standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. We don’t run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

We don’t track you across other websites. Because we don’t, we don’t respond differently to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

Children’s privacy

Resonant Worlds is made for players age 9 and up, so some visitors are under 13. We take that seriously:

  • Before you sign up for updates or send us contact details, we ask your age. If you tell us you’re under 13, we won’t collect your email or personal details — a parent or guardian can sign up for you instead.
  • Voting is anonymous and collects no personal information, so anyone can take part. The double-vote marker is used only to keep voting fair, not to identify you.
  • We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you’re a parent or guardian and believe your child gave us personal information, email legal@rupturedstudios.com and we’ll delete it.

How we use it

  • To reply to you and continue a conversation you started.
  • To send game updates, world reveals, and Kickstarter news, but only if you opted in.
  • To tally votes and to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used and improve it.

We do not sell or share your personal information (including as “sell” and “share” are defined under California law), and we don’t disclose it except with the service providers below who help us operate.

Who helps us operate

Our email updates and newsletter are handled by Kit (ConvertKit), which stores your email address and processes your subscription — including the confirmation (double opt-in) email — on our behalf, under its own privacy terms. Our website is hosted by GoDaddy, which records the standard server logs noted above. Some pages link out to other services (for example a community Discord or Kickstarter); those have their own privacy policies, and this one doesn’t cover them.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe anytime. Every update email has a one-click opt-out.
  • Access, correct, or delete. Email us and we’ll handle your request.
  • Depending on where you live (e.g. EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights. We honor them. Email legal@rupturedstudios.com.

Keeping it safe

We hold only what we need, for as long as we need it, and protect it with reasonable safeguards. If something goes wrong, we’ll act quickly and tell affected people as required by law.

Changes

If we update this policy, we’ll change the date above and, for significant changes, give notice on the site.
